Call for Scholarships 2024
The Coalition for Physician Well-Being Scholarship Program aims to enhance accessibility for current GME residents and fellows wishing to attend the Joy & Wholeness Summit, the Coalition’s premier annual conference.
The Summit offers educational opportunities and resources, enabling residents and fellows to collaborate with key decision-makers in hospital and medical group leadership. It convenes members from across the organization to devise and implement solutions that bolster the well-being of physicians, clinicians, and providers.
We hope residents will gain invaluable lessons, enhancing both their personal and professional aspirations in medicine. Furthermore, this experience fosters collaboration with industry leaders to devise strategic, innovative systems that bolster the well-being of physicians and advanced practice providers within their respective organizations.
The 2024 GME Scholarship covers:

The registration fee for the Coalition for Physician Well-Being 2024 Joy & Wholeness Summit ($700 value).

Hotel accommodation at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa for two nights (approximately $600 value).

Conference meals (2 breakfasts, 1 lunch, 1 dinner, and snacks during breaks).

CME eligibility, which includes AMA PRA Category 1 credits.
Responsibilities
Scholarship recipients are responsible for any additional travel expenses, including but not limited to airfare, taxis, additional lodging, and meals not provided by the conference.
Throughout the conference, recipients are expected to participate fully, which includes attending their chosen specialty track, the two-day plenary session, and the welcome banquet dinner. During this banquet, scholarship awardees will convene at a designated table for formal recognition. Additionally, our social media specialist will coordinate with recipients to obtain headshots for the program.
At the conference's conclusion, recipients should attend a 30-minute feedback session with Summit team members and the Coalition for Physician Well-Being Board. This feedback is invaluable for refining the program for future scholars.
Submission Guidelines & Eligibility
To be considered for the scholarship:

Submit a personal narrative (max. 250 words) detailing your reasons for attending the 2024 Summit and your intended contributions to your organization post-conference.

Provide your curriculum vitae (CV).

Include an official recommendation letter from your Program Director.

Eligibility requires enrollment in an accredited GME residency program as of July 1, 2024. The deadline for the 2024 GME Scholarship Program application is December 15, 2023.
